Drain / Pipe Lining

Drain / Pipe Lining
Pukka Drains can install both Localised Patch Liners AND CIPP (Cured In Place Pipe) Lining. These are both methods of repairing a failed underground pipe, without the costly excavation to rectify. Please contact us for details : info@pukkadrains.com

Localised Patch Liners :

Like a CIPP Resin Drain Liner, a localised Patch Liner provides a completely smooth finish, eliminating any lips / steps from displaced and failed joints. Unlike a CIPP Resin Drain Liner however, a Patch Liner can be installed at a specific place in a pipe, which is perfect for a blind run, or a line that has access from only one place.
CIPP (Cured In Place Pipe) Resin Drain Lining :

CIPP (Cured In Place Pipe) Resin Drain Lining :

CIPP (Cured In Place Pipe) lining is using both drag and inversion liners to line eg. a section of faulty pipe between two manholes, creating a "pipe within a pipe". Once the resin-based chemical mixture is inserted in the liner to be used, the liner is then inserted into the pipe (or dragged through) to the correct location. Then a calibration hose is inserted into the liner and inflated under pressure, until it is through to the end of the liner. It is kept under pressure until the chemicals are set, and then the calibration hose is withdrawn. This leaves a perfect liner or "pipe within a pipe", with a smooth glass-like finish.

Pukka Drains use some of the best equipment and CIPP Lining materials in the industry. Here are some examples both before and after lining has taken place. We perform HPW Jetting before lining to ensure that the pipes are 100% clear and to give the best possible chance for a smooth liner to be installed. The end result is as smooth as glass.

In the examples below, you can clearly see the fractures / broken section of the old Vitrified Clay pipe in the first recording on the left. Then you can see how the installation of the liner by us smooths over the defects, in the recording on the right. This in turn, saves the more costly option of digging and replacing 6m of pipe. Sometimes, however, excavate and replace is the only option.
